Mintlaw Woodcrafters
Mintlaw Woodcrafters is a small woodworking shop that hand crafts doors and door frames. We pride ourselves in being capable of making any screen, entry or interior door that our customer can imagine. These doors can be any size, design or wood species - we haven't seen a design yet that we can't build.

In addition, we can paint, stain or varnish any door that we make. We have even been know to refinish, refurbish and rehang antique doors.

The owner and main craftsman at Mintlaw Woodcrafters is Brain Muir, an engineer who in 1986 turned his hand to cabinet and door making by buying a small cabinetmaking shop in Peterborough, Ontario. Once he discovered how much fun this was, there was no returning to engineering. You know what they say: do what you love. His engineering skills have been put to good use designing customers’ projects. He also uses his skills to create the machinery and design processes that make his shop so efficient.
